20 amazing photographs showing North Staffordshire in the 1970s from the James Morgan Archive
Amateur photographer James Morgan from Trentham travelled around Stoke-on-Trent on his bike during the 1970s and 80s capturing the changing face of the city and surrounding areas. These images have not been seen before. The Sentinel and StokeontrentLive have been given permission by Mr Morgan’s family to publish some of the 5,000 images in the collection, which show us lost scenes from our recent past – such as the building of the A500, the Potteries shopping centre and the demise of our much-loved pubs, homes and factories. These images are subject to copyright and remain the property of James Morgan.
