Another 275 people tested positive for coronavirus in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire as a downward trend in new daily cases continues.
For the second consecutive day the number of new cases in the city fell below 100 with 92 new positive tests recorded, according to the latest Public Health Englandf figures.
Stoke-on-Trent hit the 10,000-case mark at the weekend, with the total since the pandemic began now at 10,252.
Across the rest of Staffordshire, a further 183 new Covid cases were recorded, including 32 in Newcastle, 11 in the Moorlands and 37 in Stafford borough.
The total number of cases in the county since March is now at 27,300.
Fifty-six new cases were recorded in neighbouring Cheshire East, taking its total for the pandemic to 9,447.
