Another 315 people tested positive for coronavirus in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire in the latest 24-hour period.
There were 114 cases of Covid-19 confirmed in the city, according to the latest Public Health England figures, representing a slight increase on the previous two days.
Stoke-on-Trent hit the 10,000-case mark at the weekend, with the total since the pandemic began now at 10,366.
Across the rest of Staffordshire, a further 201 new Covid cases were recorded, including 36 in Newcastle, 20 in the Moorlands and 39 in Stafford borough.
The total number of cases in the county since March is now at 27,501.
Forty-nine new cases were recorded in neighbouring Cheshire East, taking its total for the pandemic to 9,496.
Across the UK there were 16,578 new cases confirmed, taking the country’s total to 1,766,819.
