Accident involving double-decker bus and pedestrian on city centre street



Emergency services are at the scene of a collision involving a double-decker bus and a pedestrian on a city centre road in Stoke-on-Trent this afternoon (Wednesday March 11).

Police and paramedics were called to Regent Road, Hanley, shortly before 3pm today.

One StokeonTrentLive reader who contacted us said the accident had taken place on the stretch of road near the Macari Centre.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said:  “We were called by the police at 2:47pm to reports of a collision involving a bus and pedestrian on Regent Road in Hanley.

“We currently have an ambulance and paramedic officer at the scene assessing one patient.”
