Air ambulance and police called to incident in town


The air ambulance has been called in to assist with an incident in a town.

Emergency services were called to New Street, Stafford, at around 11am this morning before the air ambulance arrived a short time later and landed on the car park of Tenpin Stafford in nearby Grey Friars’ Place.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing several ambulances and a police car at the scene, before they departed shortly after 12pm.

One person, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I could see three ambulances and a police car. The paramedics were all wearing white, while others were wearing face masks and gloves.

“Then the air ambulance turned up. It looked like someone was being put into the back of an ambulance.”

StokeonTrentLive has approached Staffordshire Police for a comment and is awaiting a response.
