There have been another 1,100 positive coronavirus cases in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire confirmed over the past 24 hours.
Latest figures reported from the Department of Health and Social Care showed there have been another 302 confirmed Covid-19 cases in Stoke-on-Trent as of 4.15pm today (November 12).
This means a total of 6,416 people have now been confirmed to have caught coronavirus since the start of the pandemic back in March.
In the Staffordshire County Council area there has been a jump of 798 new Covid cases bringing the total number of infections to 18,601.
In Cheshire East there were another 188 new infections recorded giving a total of 7,646.
Across the United Kingdom there have been 33,470 new coronavirus cases bringing the total number of infections to 1,290,195.
There have been 595 deaths across the United Kingdom within 28 days of receiving a positive test bringing the total to 50,365.
Confirmed Covid-19 cases by area as of November 12:
- Staffordshire County (all Staffordshire authorities – including those in the south of the county – excluding Stoke-on-Trent): 18,601 (up 798 from yesterday)
- Cheshire East: 7,646 (up 188 from yesterday)
