There have been another 630 positive coronavirus cases in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.
The latest figures from Public Health England and the Department for Health and Social Care shows there have been 173 new positive cases confirmed in Stoke-on-Trent today (November 20).
The number shows a drop from yesterday but means there have now been 7,962 confirmed Covid-19 cases in the city since the start of the pandemic in March.
In the Staffordshire County Council area there have been another 457 positive test results. This means there have now been 22,365 coronavirus cases in the county.
Across the border in Cheshire East there have been another 129 confirmed cases. There have now been 8,271 positive results throughout the pandemic.
A number of authorities saw their figures drastically jump or decrease earlier this week due to a change in how the reporting works. Previously patients had their NHS records used to allocate which authority they were counted under, whereas their given address is now used to make the figure.
The entire United Kingdom has seen an additional 20,252 coronavirus cases today meaning 1,473,508 have now been infected.
