Appeal after burglars break into North Staffordshire jewellers

Burglars broke into a North Staffordshire jewellers swing rings and other valuables.

Police officers were called to High Street in Newcastle yesterday morning (November 17) to reports of a burglary.

It is thought the incident took place between 3pm on Monday and 9am yesterday.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a large police presence near the former Brassington Club on High Street with police officers standing guard throughout the day.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Officers are investigating following a burglary at a jewellers in Newcastle town centre.

“The burglary, on High Street, was reported on Tuesday and is believed to have taken place between 3pm on Monday and 9am on Tuesday.

“A quantity of rings and miscellaneous jewellery were stolen from within the premises.”
