Appeal after man approached teenage girl on North Staffordshire street



Police are investigating after a teenage girl was approached by a man on a North Staffordshire stret.

The girl fled after the man – described as being tall and in his 30s – approached her on Thames Drive, Biddulph – shortly before 6pm yesterday evening.

Anyone who has information or CCTV footage is being asked to contact the police.

A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said:  “Police are investigating after it was reported that a teenage girl was approached by a man on Thames Drive in Biddulph at around 5.45pm on Monday 7 September.

“He is described as tall, in his 30s, wearing a blue tracksuit with the hood up. The girl was not harmed and ran away.

“Officers are carrying out enquiries, including CCTV, to trace the man.

“Any witnesses or anyone with any information can report online or call 101, quoting incident number 550 of 7 September.”
