A motorcyclist tried to evade the police through the streets of Staffordshire – but was eventually arrested.
The Staffordshire Police Road Policing Unit (RPU) – a team of specialist traffic cops – stopped the biker in the Cannock area earlier today (April 25).
It came just hours after they stopped a number of anti-social motorcyclists around the Cannock Chase area who were flouting the UK lockdown guidelines.
The latest biker to be in custody did however try to evade officers but was eventually arrested.
A Staffs Police RPU spokesman said: “A further motorcyclist arrested after trying to make off from police in Cannock Plolice area.
“Positive for drug-driving, drugs and mobile phones recovered.”
The public have been told to stay at home during the UK coronavirus lockdown and only leave their homes to travel to and from work, to shop for essentials, or to take an hour of daily exercise.
