Boys, 15 and 16, arrested after teenager stabbed in terrifying North Staffordshire street attack



Police have arrested two boys after a teenager was stabbed in a North Staffordshire street attack.

A 19-year-old man – who has not been named – suffered ‘potentially serious injuries’ after suffering a single stab wound in Grove Avenue, Kidsgrove, close to Clough Hall Park.

He was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital following the incident, which happened at around 9pm on Tuesday (June 2).

Now detectives have confirmed two youths – aged 15 and 16 – have been arrested in connection with the stabbing.

They are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with a reported stabbing on Grove Avenue in Kidsgrove on June 2.

“A 19-year-old was injured. An investigation by detectives is on-going and anyone with information is asked to come forward.”

An update on the condition of the injured teenager has not yet been released.
