Bradford v Port Vale team as Askey makes three changes and calls up youngsters

Port Vale boss John Askey has made three changes to his side – and included three academy players on the bench – for tonight’s game at Bradford City.

Askey has recalled Leon Legge, Shaun Brisley and David Amoo to his XI as Tom Pope, Zak Mills and Adam Crookes are dropped to the bench.

And it’s on the bench where there is the greatest surprise as youth teamers Luke Chambers and Michael Lennon join Eden Bailey, who was on the bench for Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at home to Barrow.

Vale: Brown, Smith, Legge, Brisley, Fitzpatrick, Joyce, Whitehead, Burgess, Amoo, Rodney, Hurst.

Subs: Pope, Mills, Crookes, Bailey, Visser, Chambers, Lennon.
