Jack Butland has applauded a new training session for goalkeepers in isolation – and who’s partners are fed up of kicking them a football.
With a small goal, a wall and a football, young Nate has been able to sharpen up his goalkeeping skills ready for his own return to action.
His mum says he came up with the idea himself in the hope of encouraging others in these trying times.
And Butland was impressed enough to respond on Twitter by saying: “Brilliant idea! They say you’ve got to be crazy to be a keeper but sometimes you have to be clever as well.”
We’re not too sure about the clever bit, Jack, but we’ll let you off just this once. But the young lad in this video certainly has potential .
And Butland is not the only top keeper to comment on young Nate’s efforts, with the likes of Manchester United greats Peter Schmeichel and David de Gea also applauding his ingenuity.
And another United star, Juan Mata, even invited him for a training session to “practice my free-kicks with him” once the virus panic is over.
