Businesses called on to provide personal protective equipment for Royal Stoke



Businesses are being asked to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to Royal Stoke University Hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce have appealed for a range of items to help the hospital during the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

Items firms are being asked for include:

  • Safety goggles
  • Masks (including with visors)
  • Aprons / gowns
  • Nitrile gloves
  • Gauntlets
  • Overshoes

The chamber said:  “Royal Stoke University Hospital are calling out to businesses for supplies of PPE to help protect their staff through the coronavirus crisis.

“If you’re able to help with any of of the above please get in touch with the Chambers as soon as you can with the price, quantity available to order and an ETA for delivery or collection.

“We would also be grateful to hear from businesses who are able to donate these items.

The University Hospitals of North Midlands – which is comprised of Royal Stoke University Hospital and Stafford’s County Hospital – have this afternoon thanked Stafford College for donating a range of items.

The hospital trust said:  “Another huge thank you goes to Stafford College for their kind donation of hand moisturiser, coveralls, goves, goggles and disposable Respirators.

“Thank you for helping keep everyone at UHNM safe.”
