Cannabis, cash and a machete found by police officers in Stoke-on-Trent car.

Officers from the Stoke Police neighbourhood policing team pulled over a vehicle in Trent Vale earlier today (January 15).

Police revealed one person – who has not been identified – is currently in custody on suspicion of drug offences.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Cannabis, machete and cash seized following a vehicle stop in the Trent Vale Area.

“One in custody for possession with intent to supply.”

Sergeant Chris Moss, deputy commander of Stoke-on-Trent South, this evening welcomed the arrest.

He added: “Yet another fine example of what your local officers do every day to keep the community safe. Top work”
