Stoke City’s season is currently on pause as it stands due to the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic, meaning that the off-the-pitch news will take the headlines.
Prior to the suspension of the campaign, the Potters were in 17th place in the Sky Bet Championship table, battling to avoid relegation to League One.
The season has been suspended indefinitely, and it is not clear when, or indeed if, the campaign will resume.
Nothing seems to stop the transfer rumours, though, and there are more Championship rumours floating around in today’s reports.
Here is the best selection of Championship transfer rumours for Saturday, April 11.
Leeds offered new hope to keep White
Former Leeds United midfielder Michael Brown believes his former team could keep on-loan defender Ben White if they were to be promoted to the Premier League.
The Whites are currently top of the Championship but with the season’s future still uncertain, they will be hoping there is some way to finish their great campaign.
White has impressed at Elland Road this season, and has reportedly attracted interest from Liverpool, and could still return to his parent club Brighton and Hove Albion.
“He needs to be in a team where he can step forward with the ball and step through the thirds. That is what he is really good at is getting the ball and driving into midfield,” Brown said to Football Insider .
“The next step is the Premier League. Hopefully, it will be with Leeds United – they have got a fantastic place – and it would be a great place to play your football.”
Baggies find out fee to pay for Krovinovic
Benfica will demand a fee of €11.5m for West Bromwich Albion on-loan attacker Filip Krovinovic, according to Record .
Krovinovic has scored two goals and set up another two so far for the Baggies this term after joining on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old’s contribution at the Hawthorns this season has tempted West Brom to make the deal permanent, something the Portuguese outlet claims Benfica are fully aware of.
Benfica will ask for €11.5m (£10m) for the attacker, who is keen to stay at West Brom according to the report.
Sunderland duo linked with Boro
Sunderland pair Duncan Watmore and Lynden Gooch are both on Middlesbrough’s radar, according to TEAMtalk .
Watmore is out of contract at Boro’s North East rivals in the summer and if the Black Cats do not get promoted back to the Championship, he is likely to leave the club.
There are a host of clubs looking at Watmore, though, which could provide competition for Boro, according to the report.
Similarly to Watmore’s situation, without promotion, then Sunderland would find it difficult to keep Gooch if the right offer came in for the winger.
Dundee owner “open” to selling Stoke target
Dundee United are “open” to selling striker Lawrence Shankland this summer, according to the club’s owner Mark Ogren.
However, Ogren has demanded a fee of more than £3m for the forward, who has been linked with a move to Stoke City in recent weeks.
Shankland has scored 29 goals in 35 matches in all competitions this season for Dundee and has attracted interest from the Championship because of his form.
“We’d be very happy to keep him (beyond the summer). If the situation was right for Lawrence and the club we are open to a situation where he would leave in the summer but if that doesn’t happen we are very happy to keep him,” Ogren said to the Daily Record .
Ogren was then asked if he would be tempted by an offer of £3m for the striker, and replied: “It would definitely have to be more than that.”

Fulham goalkeeper linked with former club
Besiktas are interested in bringing back Fulham goalkeeper Fabri, according to Turkish outlet Takvim .
Fabri signed for Fulham in the summer of 2018 from Besiktas, but has made just two appearances for the Cottagers in that time.
The 32-year-old could now return to Turkey after a largely unsuccessful two-year spell in England.
