Cases of coronavirus and deaths linked to the deadly illness have risen in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire over the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the number of people to have tested positive in Staffordshire has risen from 2,321 to 2,326 during that time.
And in Stoke-on-Trent, confirmed cases currently stand at 829.
Elsewhere, there has been an increase in deaths at the Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust, which includes Crewe’s Leighton Hospital, where 201 people have now died, up from 200 yesterday.
And at the East Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust – which looks after Congleton War Memorial Hospital and Macclesfield District General Hospital – the number of deaths has risen to 129.
However, there has been no increase in deaths at the North Staffordshire Combined Trust – which includes the Harplands Hospital. The figure remains at six.
And the number of deaths at the Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust – which operates Haywood Hospital, Cheadle Community Hospital, Leek Moorlands Hospital and Bradwell Community Hospital among others – remains at 11.
Nationally, the UK death toll now stands at 41,698.
The number of new UK cases in the past 24 hours is 1,514.
