Coronavirus death toll reaches 300 across Royal Stoke and County hospitals

The coronavirus death toll across the University Hospitals of North Midlands has reached 300.

Latest data released by Public Health England shows there have been 300 deaths at Royal Stoke University Hospital in Hartshill and Stafford’s County Hospital – an increase of one since yesterday.

Six people have lost their lives at the North Staffordshire Combined Trust – which includes the Harplands Hospital – and nine people have now died at the Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust – which operates Haywood Hospital, Cheadle Community Hospital, Leek Moorlands Hospital and Bradwell Community Hospital among others.

At the Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust – which includes Crewe’s Leighton Hospital – six more people have died taking the total to 176 people.

At the East Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust – which looks after Congleton War Memorial Hospital and Macclesfield District General Hospital – the number of deaths remains at 111.
