A deal between NHS England and independent hospitals means thousands of beds and nurses will be available in the fight against coronavirus.
The deal includes the provision of 8,000 hospital beds across England, more than 10,000 nurses, over 700 doctors, nearly 1,200 more ventilators, and over 8,000 other clinical staff.
Earlier today it was reported that eighty-nine new cases were detected in Wales in that country’s biggest day-on-day increase yet.

The global death toll continued to rise today, with further increases in Spain, Belgium, Germany and Iran and other countries struggling to control the virus.
The number of confirmed cases in Staffordshire is 25.
