The body of businessman Lee Edwards was found at his vehicle workshop.
A relative discovered the 37-year-old’s body after going to SSG Garage, in Adderley Green.
The dad-of-two, from Abbey Hulton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Now family and friends will be able to pay their respects when the funeral cortege drives past SSG Garage on its way to Carmountside Crematorium on Tuesday, June 2. Lockdown restrictions mean only 10 loved-ones can attend the funeral.
The bereavement notice states: “Lee will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends.
“If you would like to pay your respects to Lee the cortege will arrive at SSG Garage at 11.15am and will be leaving at 11.30am for the service and cremation at Carmountside Crematorium at 12pm.
“In the current situation please remember to keep a two-metre distance when showing your respects at SSG Garage.”
An inquest has now been opened and adjourned following Lee’s death on Sunday, May 10. Emergency services were called to the garage which is on New Park Hall Industrial Estate, on Park Hall Road.
North Staffordshire assistant coroner Sarah Murphy said: “Entry was forced by a family member who found Mr Edwards. Paramedics were called and certified death at the scene.
“An inquest date will be set administratively. The body has been released for funeral purposes.”
