Police have ruled out any suspicious circumstances after the body of a 50-year-old man was found at his home.
Emergency services went to Darren Beech’s house in Kidsgrove after a concerned relative raised the alarm. They found he had passed away.
Now an inquest has been opened and adjourned into Darren’s death.
North Staffordshire assistant coroner Sarah Murphy said: “There is reason to believe the death was unnatural so an inquest will be necessary. The family will be given an update in six weeks’ time.”
Paramedics were called to the Whitehill Road address at 5.28pm on May 17.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “One ambulance attended and we sadly confirmed one man deceased at the scene.”
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “There are no suspicious circumstances and a report has been prepared for the coroner.”
