Coroner trying to trace family after woman dies at home



The coroner is trying to trace the family of a woman who died at her Staffordshire Moorlands home earlier this week.

Elizabeth Mart passed away at her home on Ford Street, Leek, on Tuesday (April 21).

Police – who say the 78-year-old’s death is not suspicious – have today issued an appeal on behalf of the North Staffordshire coroner’s office.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said:  “HM Coroner’s Office is appealing for help to trace the family of a woman who sadly died on April 21. Elizabeth Mart, 78, died at her home address on Ford Street in Leek.

“Her death is not suspicious. Anyone who can provide info as to possible relatives should email coroners@stoke.gov.uk or call 01782 234794.”
