Ruby the Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross is looking for an armchair to curl up on in time for Christmas.
The seven-year-old pooch – pictured above – is currently a resident at Animal Lifeline being cared for by their volunteers.
They’ve described tummy-rub-loving Ruby as ‘affectionate and loyal’, but needs a little time to warm up to new people.
A spokeswoman for Animal Lifeline said: “Ruby can be a little bit wary of new people but it doesn’t take long for her to befriend you and once she does she’s one of the most affectionate dogs.
“She loves a good tummy rub and enjoys lounging around on her arm chair. She needs a bit of time to get used to people and to be the only pet but she is the most loyal loving girl.”
Ruby is just one of the dogs featured in out Give a Pet a Home gallery this week. Please take a minute to scroll through the gorgeous dogs waiting in kennels for a family.
StokeonTrentLive have been helping rehome dogs and cats in need of forever families across North Staffordshire for several years.
We’ve been working with Animal Lifeline, City Dogs Home and the RSPCA Blakely Farm to help them find loving homes for the animals they take in.
