A cyclist has been found with ‘serious’ injuries following a collision at a major roundabout on the A50.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the eastbound side of the dual carriageway at junction six – the exit for Scropton and Hatton – earlier this morning.
The road was closed while the incident was dealt with, but it has since reopened to traffic.
Derbyshire Police revealed the cyclist found shortly before 6am this morning and their investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
A police spokesman said: “The slip road from the A50 near Foston was closed after a cyclist was found with serious injuries on the roundabout at Dove Valley Park at 5.50am.
“The road has now reopened and further information will be given as it is available.”
