Derby County vs Stoke City team news – Wayne Rooney and Michael O’Neill name starting lineups



Michael O’Neill has named his Stoke City team for today’s clash with Derby County in the Championship at Pride Park (3pm).

City are looking to bounce back from a 2-1 defeat Cardiff City in midweek with Tyrese Campbell, excellent on the night, picking up a knee injury.

That means at least one change was enforced and O’Neill has opted to make four changes.

Campbell, Tommy Smith and James McClean are all out and replaced by Jordan Thompson, Harry Souttar and Steven Fletcher.

Sam Vokes, who came off the bench for Campbell against Cardiff, is on the substitute’s bench and joined by Andy Lonergan, former Ram Tom Ince, Ryan Shawcross, Tashan Oakley-Boothe, Thibaud Verlinden and Adam Porter.

So Stoke‘s team is: Bursik; Collins, Souttar, Chester, Fox; Cousins; Thompson; Tymon, Brown, Powell; Fletcher.

Derby, meanwhile, make four changes to the team that drew 0-0 with Brentford in midweek.

Nathan Byrne is back in the squad along with Tom Lawrence, Max Bird and Lee Buchanan.

Duane Holmes, Craig Forsyth, Graeme Shinnie and Curtis Davies come out of the team.

They line up like this: : Marshall; Byrne, Wisdom, Clarke, Buchanan, Bielik, Bird, Knight, Jozwiak, Kazim-Richards, Lawrence.
