Two elderly women – a driver and a pedestrian – were injured when a car crashed into a Staffordshire supermarket this afternoon (Tuesday March 24).
Paramedics and firefighters were called to the Tesco on Power Station Road, Rugeley, earlier today.
Neither is understood to have sustained life-threatening injuries in the collision.
A Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “Firefighters from Rugeley & Cannock attended this collision at Rugeley Tesco this afternoon after an elderly woman’s vehicle was in collision with the store exit.
“A pedestrian, another elderly woman, was also injured but thankfully neither is believed to have suffered life threatening injuries.
“Crews stabilised the vehicle and helped paramedics transfer both women to nearby ambulances.”
