Driver taken to hospital after three-vehicle crash on Stoke-on-Trent street

A motorist was taken to hospital following an accident on a Stoke-on-Trent street last night (Tuesday June 9).

Emergency services were called to High Street, Tunstall, at around 10.20pm following the collision.

The driver who was taken to hospital only had minor injuries.

A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said:  “Officers were called to a report of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on High Street in Tunstall at around 10.18pm last night.

“One man was taken to hospital by colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service for precautionary checks.

“Details were exchanged and the three vehicles were recovered.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they had been called at 10.38pm.

A spokeswoman said:  “We sent one ambulance.  We treated one patient, a man who was the driver of one of the cars.

“He was treated for minor injuries and taken to Royal Stoke.”
