Driver unhurt after car flips over into ditch

Police rescued a driver of a car which careered off the B5017 at Birch Cross, Uttoxeter and over a 100 metre lawn before dropping into a ditch with a stream.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue deployed a Crew from Uttoxeter and police and West Midlands Ambulance service were called to an incident this evening (Friday July 30).

Despite flipping over into a ditch the driver escaped unscathed and was checked out by paramedics.

The fire Crew from Uttoxeter deployed precautionary environmental protection equipment to recover the car.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue tweeted at 9.35pm: “Driver walked out and checked over by @OFFICIALNWMAS after car left roadway & travelled across a lawn before dropping into a ditch with a stream in #BirchCross.”
