Each Championship club’s player of season so far – and division’s top 10 led by QPR, Brentford, West Brom and Reading stars



Stoke City fans haven’t been the only ones walking away from a fixture with Queens Park Rangers thinking that Ebere Eze could well be the best player in the Championship.

The mercurial 21-year-old midfielder is top of the average ratings for the division with 10 games to go, having scored 11 goals and chipped in with seven assists, picked up eight man of the match awards along the way.

He played a pivotal role in QPR’s win at Stoke on the opening day and completing a league double at Loftus Road last month.

So who else is in the running for second tier player of the year?

We have been checking out the ratings from WhoScored, who use piles of data from Opta to objectively rate each individual performance. Here is the top 10, for players who have made at least 25 appearances.
