An elderly man has been taken to hospital after falling at his home in Staffordshire.
Emergency services were called to Sycamore Road, Burntwood, just before 8am today (May 22).
Staffordshire Police were called to the scene to gain entry to the property.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 7.46am to an address in Burntwood.
“One ambulance attended and crews requested police assistance to gain entry. Once inside crews treated one elderly man at the scene, before he was taken to Queen’s Hospital in Burton for further checks.”
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “This morning officers have assisted the West Midlands Ambulance Service to gain entry into an address in Burntwood after an elderly male had a fall.
“He’s now getting the care he needs.”
