Emergency services called after man spotted in the water at Stoke-on-Trent golf course



The emergency services were called to a Stoke-on-Trent golf course after a man was spotted in the water.

Paramedics attended Goldehill Golf Course, off Mobberley Road, on Saturday morning (January 2) to reports a man was in the water.

Eyewitnesses told StokeonTrentLive firefighters and police officers were also seen in the Goldenhill area throughout the course of the day.

West Midlands Ambulance Service has now confirmed it attended after receiving reports a man was in the water at the site.

A spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a patient in the water near to Mobberley Road at 10.36am on Saturday morning.

“One ambulance attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was out of the water on our arrival.

“Following assessment, he was able to be discharged at the scene.”

Police officers were seen in the evening scouring the area using torches to assist their searches.
