Emergency services descend on Staffordshire street due to ‘medical emergency’



A person has been taken to hospital after emergency services were called to a Staffordshire street this afternoon (Thursday February 27).

A number of readers have contacted StokeonTrentLive after seeing police and paramedics – as well as the Midlands Air Ambulance – on Longhope Drive, Stone, today.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said:  “We were called at 3.19pm to reports of a medical emergency at a property on Longhope Drive, Stone.

“We sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a Community First Responder, a BASICS doctor and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire to the scene.

“We have treated one female patient, who has been taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital by land ambulance.”
