The family of Keith Rowlands have paid tribute to the 44-year-old as the murder investigation into his death continues.
Keith was found in cardiac arrest at his home in Nellan Crescent, Smallthorne, on December 19 and was taken to hospital, where her sadly died later that day.
A 27-year-old Stoke-on-Trent man was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with Keith’s death and he remains on conditional bail pending further inquiries.
In their statement, Keith’s family said: “Keith was a big softie who loved life and everyone around him, always up for a laugh and a brew.
“He loved his family and friends, his dog, going fishing, watching football and the city of Liverpool.
“He will always be missed by so many whose lives he touched.”
A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman confirmed a post-mortem examination had taken place but further test are required.
