Fastest and slowest stretches of the A500 in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire


New figures reveal the areas of the A500 with the fastest and slowest speeds in Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas of North Staffordshire.

Statistics released by the Department for Transport show the average speed on stretches of the road as it runs between junction 16 and junction 15 of the M6 motorway.

We’ve broken the list up by northbound and southbound and placed them in order of quickest to slowest average speeds on each stretch of the D-road.

On the northbound carriageway the area with the highest average speed was the stretch of road as the A500 passed Talke Roundabout.

Southbound it was the stretch of road between junction 16 of the M6 and Talke Roundabout.
