Firefighters rescue cat stuck 5m high in Staffordshire tree



Firefighters have rescued a cat after it became stuck five metres high in a tree.

A crew from Rising Brook attended Poplar Way in Stafford shortly after 6.15pm on Monday.

They rescued the cat from the scene.

A Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters helped rescue a cat – after it had become stuck in a tree.

“The feline was five metres up when a crew from Rising Brook arrived at Poplar Way, Stafford.

” The crew, who was called at 6.15pm on 22 Feb, used working at heights equipment to safely retrieve the cat.”
