Former Port Vale midfielder Joe Berks is one of four players being released by Stafford Rangers.
The 20 year old came through the academy at Vale Park and, after impressing in youth and reserve games, was given a six-month senior contract last summer.
He initially joined Stafford Rangers on loan and also had a spell at Chasetown.
Stafford Rangers say: “While the management team are in discussions with the squad, we can make our first announcement. Four players have been released and the club would like to place on record our thanks for their commitment and effort during their time with us.
“Joe Berks, Paul Bignot, Jazz Luckie and Jack Sherratt all leave with our thanks and we wish them all the best for the future.”
Jody Banim was appointed as Stafford Rangers’ new manager last week.
The former Ashton United boss takes up the Boro reins after Andy Fearn and Alex Meechan stepped down following the cancellation of the 2019/20 season.
Fearn then stepped upstairs to become director of football at the club, and led the search for his own replacement.
Banim brings with him Boro veteran defender Matt Hill as his assistant.
