Trabzonspor boss Hüseyin Çimşir wants to strike a deal to keep Stoke City‘s £14m midfielder Badou Ndiaye for next season, according to reports.
The 29-year-old Senegal international left the Potters for Turkey in January, on a loan deal until the end of the season.
It was with a view to a permanent switch to the Super Lig club – and it is being reported Çimşir is eager to keep him, after claims last week Ndiaye would be returning to the bet365 Stadium.
“Coach Hüseyin Çimşir wants the experienced player, who is satisfied with his performance, to be hired for another year,” says Turkish newspaper Haberturk, who claim Trabzonspor will start talks with Stoke over the player “in a short time”.
Ndiaye, who joined Stoke from Galatasaray in January 2018, has played nine games for Trabzonspor in the Turkish top flight, scoring one goal.
He recently underwent an operation to repair a small rupture in the outer meniscus of his left knee.
