From Brentford duo to West Brom winger – Championship stars wanted by Stoke City fans

Somewhere in the not too distant future, hopefully, football will get going again and Stoke City will soon enough be dipping their toes into the transfer market.

And supporters have been getting in touch about which players from rival Championship sides they would like to see Michael O’Neill sign when he gets the chance.

It’s a dream scenario with money no option and no Financial Fair Play to worry about, let alone anything else.

Two positions, however, were commonly on the agenda – left-back and striker, with Brentford suggested as a stopping off post for both.

Steve Powner: (Antonee Robinson), the left back at Wigan who suppose to go to Milan

Carl Watson: Mitrovic (Fulham)

Darren Gibson: Ollie Watkins (Brentford) for sure.

Dave Jervis: Watkins.

Dave Grocott: Mitrovic (Fulham) – a centre-forward that gives the centre-half a rough time and so important to get out this league. He scores goals.

Tim Gallimore: Rico Henry (Brentford).

Tracey Green: Grady Diangana (West Brom, on loan from West Ham).

Ben Hannon: I know it won’t happen but got to be Ebere Eze (QPR). Class midfielder.

Kieran Downs: Eze and Tom Cairney (Fulham).

Jim Walker: Ben Pearson (Preston).

Derek Cartwright: Bradley Dack (Blackburn).

Sandra Shaw: Scott Hogan (Birmingham, on loan from Aston Villa).

And, of course…

Darren Gibson: Nick Powell, no brainer.

Ian Anthony: Nathan Collins, Thibaud Verlinden and Tashan Oakley-Boothe.

Col Galloway: Joe Allen.
