Horse racing tips TODAY: Who to back at Wolverhampton, Chelmsford, Ayr and Hereford | Racing | Sport

The globe-trotting GULLIVER (2.45, treble) can make a winning return to these shores at Wolverhampton. A fortnight ago, the gelding was not disgraced when finishing fourth behind Dark Pursuit at Doha. He might have been unfortunate not score on that occasion as he missed the kick and was flying at the finish when beaten under three lengths.

Last season he posted some outstanding performances, notably when defying top weight to take a 22-runner competitive handicap at York in October.

The Group 2 winner Cardsharp is the one for the forecast.

Despite his 13lb hike in the weights, RED BOND (1.35) will be difficult to catch in the opener. He has winning form on the track and is clearly improving.

Recent course and distance winner CONCIERGE (2.10) remains on an attractive mark.

WHOSHOTTHESHERRIF (3.05, nb) will appreciate the drop-in grade at Ayr.

He was never a player in the competitive Betfair Hurdle at Newbury last month.

Earlier he was not disgraced on his penultimate run when fifth behind the smart Not So Sleepy at Ascot in December.

A change of tactics enabled ADERA CROSS (1.55) to get his head in front at Musselburgh.

If they again ride him from the front, this weak event will not take much winning.

Local trainer Ian Duncan knows the time of day and can enjoy more celebrations with JESSIEMAC (2.30).

The mare runs off the same mark that she carried when a respectable second behind Teescomponentstrig at Newcastle in January when Off The Hook was in fourth place.
