A housing association has lodged plans to demolish a ‘dilapidated’ block of flats.
Plus Dane Housing Association – a social landlord operatin in the North West – has submitted an application to demolish St Stephen’s Court in Congleton.
The firm says the Herbert Street building has become worse for wear.
It is not yet known when the building will be bulldozed but the proposal has now been submitted to Cheshire East Council.

The application states: “It is a three storey block of 12 flats. The site will be cleared and the building is dilapidated.
“The site will then be levelled and seaded for a grass finish.
“A knee rail is to be installed around the perimeter.”
Cheshire East Council planners will make a decision on the demolition in the coming weeks.
