Inquest opens after man, 25, dies at house in North Staffordshire



An inquest has been opened into the sudden death of a 25-year-old man.

Gage Beech died at an address in Wallbridge Drive, in Leek, on July 25.

Andrew Barkley, senior coroner for Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire, opened and adjourned an inquest at the Civic Centre in Stoke.

Mr Barkley said: “The circumstances were that Mr Beech was found by his mother-in-law.”

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics had been called to the scene but could not save Mr Beech. He said: “We were called to reports of a medical emergency at a property on Wallbridge Drive at 10.38am on July 25.

“One ambulance attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a man. Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”

An inquest will be held on a date to be fixed.
