Strongman Eddie Hall is hitting the gym hard as he prepares to take on Hafthor Bjornsson in the ‘Heaviest Boxing Match in History’.
Instead, the ‘Beast’ just has to walk downstairs to his basement which has been transformed into the state-of-the-art fitness suite with its own full-size ring.
The 33-year-old, who lost his World’s Strongest Man title to the Icelandic bodybuilder three years ago, has now given fans a sneak peak into his personal gym.
It comes after Eddie last year shared a video on his YouTube channel of his North Staffordshire mansion which has been undergoing a huge renovation.
Starting work on the property in July, it is still going on as the four-floor home boasts several rooms.
He said: “I just ripped the basement completely out, threw it away and started from scratch.”
Able to watch his form in the mirrored wall, Eddie also has posters up across the room of his heroes which include legendary bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The gym had a connecting room that just houses his protein shakes, shoes and vitamins as well as snacks.
And it leads into the cardio room, which Eddie describes as a “better set up than any football club in the world”.
The result is a three-room area which starts off with the gym room, boasting the latest tech in cable machines, squat racks and bench press stands.
It even has racks for dumbbells that are not in use at commercial gyms, with the hand-held weights hitting a maximum at 80kg.
It boasts a cryotherapy chamber, reaching sub-zero temperatures to help with recover, as well as an red-light therapy unit which descends from the ceiling.
With a treadmill and rowing machine, Eddie also gets his heart pumping while watching videos of Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury fight.
The final room, though, is where Eddie is preparing to take on Bjornsson as it is kitted out with all the boxing equipment a fighter needs.
It is dominated by a ring which is just six feet shy of a full-sized boxing zone while personalised punching bags and body kits are scattered across the room.
Having been supplied by fight organisers RDX, Eddie even has his specially-made boxing gloves to fit his enormous hands.
And the boxing room has even been made Covid-19 safe for his coach, with a temperature-checker and sanitiser on the wall.
But the gym is not finished yet.
Eddie has also kept himself busy with trash talk against Bjornsson, calling his boxing debut last month the ‘biggest load of s***’.
In the garden, Eddie is building a spa, which will feature a sauna and cooling room to accompany the hot-tub already there.
