A popular city centre shop is to shutdown after the owner revealed plans to retire.
Flashdance, in Hanley, is set to shut for good later this month.
The Hope Street dancewear shop is currently staging a closing down sale.
The owner has declined to speak to StokeonTrentLive.
But a Facebook post stated: “Due to retirement we will be closing down at the end of March. There is a 20 per cent sale now on.”
Hope Street traders will be sad to see the business go.
Sue Goodwin, aged 55, who owns Goodwins Jewellers, said: “It’s been here for as long as I can remember and it is a shame.
“I remember when we had our last refurbishment and everything we bought for the shop we managed to source in the street.
“We bought stools, fabric and carpet. It was a really good diverse street. I will really miss Flashdance.
“We like all of the units to be full. I wish them the best of luck with their retirement.”
