Live: Boris Johnson to hold coronavirus press conference on vaccine roll-out

Prime minister Boris Johnson will hold a coronavirus press briefing from Downing Street this afternoon.

He is expected to give an update on the vaccine roll-out in the UK and outline plans for an Army-led vaccine distribution plan.

Mr Johnson will be joined by Brigadier Phil Prosser and NHS England boss Sir Simon Stevens.

He claims to have a plan to reach a target of vaccinating almost 14 million people by February 15.

Mr Johnson said that 1.3 million people in the UK – including 1.1 million in England – have now received the coronavirus vaccine.
