Two lanes on the M6 motorway in Cheshire have been closed after a cow was spotted on the grass verge.
Motorists travelling northbound around junction 18, Middlewich and Holmes Chapel, are warned they experience delays this morning.
The cow was first reported to police officers shortly before 6.40am this morning (September 7).
Highways England are on the scene to help move the animal.

A North West Motorway Police spokesman said: “We have a report of a cow on the grass verge by the barrier on M6 just before junction 18, Highways are making to deal.
“There are currently two lanes of four of the northbound M6 closed at this location. Whilst this incident is dealt with. Please allow extra time for your morning commute if heading this way.”
Traffic appears to be backing up to junction 17.
