Three men have been given fines for flouting the coronavirus lockdown rules after being spotted in a Staffordshire town.
All three men were caught travelling in a vehicle around Burton.
Two of the men were from Birmingham and had driven 30 miles to go to the town without a ‘reasonable excuse’.
They were stopped by the police and issued with fines this morning (January 18).
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Three males have been fined for breaching COVID lockdown this morning.
“All three were travelling in a vehicle around Burton-upon-Trent. Two of the males were from the Birmingham area and had no reasonable excuse to be in the Staffordshire.”
