Motorists are being warned of long delays on the M6 after a serious crash involving two HGVs.
Emergency services were called to the scene at junction 10 for Walsall earlier this morning following the collision.
The crash saw one of the vehicles cross the central reservation, resulting in both northbound and southbound carriageways being blocked.
Highways England are also at the scene working to clear the incident and estimate normal traffic conditions will resume by 10.15am.
A spokesman said: “The M6 northbound and southbound at junction J10 is blocked due to an accident involving a vehicle crossing the central reservation.
“This is currently active but the incident is expected to clear between 10am and 10.15am.”
A Central Motorway Police Group spokesman confirmed no injuries have been reported from the collision.
He said: “Owing to a collision between two heavy goods vehicles at junction 10 there will be delays in the area throughout the day, please find an alternative route. Luckily no injuries.”
Motorists are advised to use the M6 Toll while the incident is dealt with.
