A person in has been locked up for six months after spitting at police officers at a South Cheshire town.
The male, who has not been identified, was jailed after the incident in Crewe.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “While responding to an incident Crewe East beat team were spat at, as a result the male involved has been charged to 6 months in prison.
“It is never acceptable to spit at emergency services and it will be dealt with robustly.”
