Man, 48, found dead at Stoke-on-Trent home

An appeal has been launched to help find the family of a 48-year-old man who was found dead at his Stoke-on-Trent home.

The body of Jason Prince was discovered at his address in Honeywall, Penkhull, where he lived alone on the evening of May 22.

Both police and paramedics attended the scene but nothing could be done to save him.

Officers have confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances.

Now the coroner’s office is looking to trace Jason’s next of kin.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 8.48pm on May 22 by Staffordshire Police to reports of a medical emergency at a property in Honeywall.

“We sent an ambulance to the scene and on arrival discovered one patient, a man, and it quickly became apparent he couldn’t be saved. He was confirmed dead at the scene.”

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “HM Coroner’s Office is appealing for help to find the family of a man who’s sadly died. Jason Prince, aged 48, lived on his own at his home in Stoke.

“His death isn’t being treated as suspicious.”
