Man and woman released on bail after firearms officers called to Stoke-on-Trent caravan site



A man and a woman who were arrested after firearms officers were called to reports of a disorder at a Stoke-on-Trent caravan site have been released on bail as police continue to investigate.

Armed police were called to Boathorse Road, Goldenhill, at 10.20pm on Saturday night after receiving reports of someone with a gun.

A 36-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man were arrested and have now been released on conditional bail.

It has not been revealed what offence they are alleged to have committed or whether any weapon has been seized.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Two people have been arrested after firearms officers were called to reports of a disorder on Boathorse Lane, Stoke at 10:20pm on Saturday 28 November.

“A 36-year-old woman and 28-year-old man – both from the city – have since been released on conditional bail.

“An investigation is underway and anyone with any information is asked to contact us, quoting incident number 694 of 28 November.”
